About Us

About us

Chime Mental Health

Chime Mental Health Services was established in 2021. The name "Chime" reflects the core values that Rochelle cherishes in relation to mental health: courage, happiness, integrity, mindfulness, and empathy. These attributes are essential for the pursuit of a fulfilling and meaningful life.

Chime Mental Health Services is dedicated to fostering a secure environment in which clients can confront life stressors, mental health challenges, relationship difficulties, and other experiences that may pose significant obstacles. Our clients will receive attentive listening, unwavering support, and validation of their emotions throughout the process.

The decision to initiate therapy should be approached with careful consideration rather than impulsively. Individuals encounter various challenges that may disrupt their daily functioning. Although identifying the most suitable path for oneself can prove to be difficult, the subsequent journey is ultimately rewarding.

About our team

Rochelle Rheingans, M.A., L.P.C.C.

My name is Rochelle Rheingans, and I am a Licensed Practicing Clinical Counselor. I have been working in private practice for nine years and have recently decided to establish my own office.

I graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead and Adler Graduate School. Since completing my studies in 2012, I have worked at a single agency, where I built a diverse client base. I enjoy working with individuals from various walks of life and addressing a wide range of diagnoses and life challenges. I welcome the opportunity to take on clients that some other clinicians might find more difficult to work with.

I have specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I utilize a variety of interventions, including psychoeducation, mindfulness skills, communication skills, and supportive reflection. I approach my clients with honesty and transparency, while also being compassionate. Through active listening, I help clients gain new insights into their challenges and guide them in facing these issues head-on.

Many people have asked me, "How do you sit and listen to people's problems all day?" My response varies, but I always explain, "I am learning right alongside them." We are engaged in a shared journey, learning from each other. The client can then take what they've learned to improve their own life, and I will continue to share insights that work for the next person. I am here as an unbiased individual to provide guidance, support, and validation, especially when that support is lacking from our loved ones.

I live in rural Southern Minnesota with my teenage daughter. We have two dogs and a cat. We work hard and play hard, enjoying both travel and sports.

Danielle Sonnek, M.S, L.P.C.C

Hi there! I’m Danielle, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I hold a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University, as well as undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Law Enforcement from Minnesota State University, Mankato.

After graduating, I worked in a variety of settings, including managing group homes, outpatient therapy, community mental health, ARMHS, CTSS, EIDBI, and residential treatment for youth. This diverse experience has allowed me to work with a wide range of individuals and families from various cultural backgrounds, as well as to address different diagnoses and life transitions.

I have specialized training in several therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Motivational Interviewing, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I employ a variety of evidence-based interventions to guide treatment, all of which are effective in helping clients achieve their goals.

Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all solution. It varies depending on what you want to address, your past experiences, and your goals. I believe that treatment should be tailored in the same way. That's why I draw upon techniques and skills from various treatment modalities. My focus is on creating a positive, nurturing, and transparent environment that fosters a non-judgmental space. This allows you to overcome challenges, build on your strengths, and receive the support and validation you need to feel empowered.

I live on a family farm where we raise cattle and grow corn, soybeans, and potatoes. We also have three dogs. I enjoy spending time outdoors and participating in sports, as well as traveling. I challenge myself through weightlifting and running. In my free time, I like to read, go to movies and concerts, and spend time with friends and family.

ARMHS

Megan Johanneck, Program Director

Megan has been supporting individuals with physical and mental disabilities since 1997 and began her career at CMHS in 2025. Supporting others has always been a part of her life, as both of her parents have worked in the field. Growing up, she often accompanied them on outings and group activities, where she enjoyed playing games and spending time together, even engaging in playful activities like spinning towels.

Megan began supporting individuals while she was in high school, although she initially considered different career paths. After a couple of years, she realized that helping people was her true calling and decided to pursue it further. After three years in the field, she became a house manager and worked at several locations, where she encouraged individuals to live their lives to the fullest and strive for independence in all areas. During this time, Megan also supported individuals at Special Olympics events by serving as a coach and partner.

Megan has always valued education and attended South Central College, where she earned an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Community Social Service. She was the first person in her program to successfully complete a portfolio that showcased the skills and knowledge she gained while supporting individuals throughout her career.

Megan began teaching Behavior Modification techniques to employees, focusing on how to handle challenges and solve problems in a positive way. She also provided training and support to staff on person-centered thinking, coping skills, and de-escalation techniques.

Megan continues her education and enjoys participating in workshops and classes. She has coached and supported new management employees, ensuring they understand and are comfortable with their duties while maintaining current rules and regulations.

Megan has spent 23 wonderful years married, creating a life filled with love and cherished memories with her partner and two adult sons. Their laughter brings joy to her home, complemented by the playful company of her two affectionate dogs.

As a passionate advocate for animal welfare, Megan serves as a foster caregiver for the Humane Society, nurturing animals in need. When she's not volunteering, she finds peace in the great outdoors, exploring and appreciating nature's beauty.
